The 29 Pieces Global Planet Earth Love Project Art Movement and Competition
For more than 21 years, 29 Pieces has given in-person workshops in k-12 schools throughout North Texas, and online workshops and teacher trainings via zoom. We partner with Region 10 Education Service Center in Texas for many of our online and in-person training workshops. We have presented at both the Texas Art Educators Association conference and the National Art Educators Association Conference. Through generous grants, our art-based curriculum, Artists Making a Kinder World, is accessible to teachers everywhere, at no cost. That curriculum can be seen at: https://www.
29 Pieces has also done a range of large community projects and exhibits: 10,000 artists participated in the Dallas Love Project. For that project, art was exhibited in 67 venues in Dallas, ranging from Bank of America to small beauty shops and manicure salons. For Dallas Teachers Speak, we trained high school students in professional portrait photography with the iphone, and photographed 159 award winning teachers in Dallas ISD, and subsequently exhibited 3000 posters of those teachers at major public sites in Dallas, as well as the rotunda of the Texas State Capitol. I am atttaching a brochure about our projects, which shows our work, in addition to telling a little more about it.
One of the major purposes of our application to NAAEE is that we are in the midst of extending our methodology and success on prior Love Projects to a global project - The Planet Earth Love Project, and we are grateful for the possibility of reaching InSEA members worldwide with this project that we believe in so deeply - The Planet Earth Love Project. And we look forward to sharing the work of NAAEE with our email list of 5,000+ people.
